This policy explains what personal data Kawar Travel & Tourism collects when you visit www.kawartours.com or ask us to plan a trip, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We collect only what we need to answer you and arrange your journey, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

Kawar Travel & Tourism is part of Amin Kawar & Sons, a Jordanian company. Amin Kawar & Sons Travel & Tourism is the controller of your personal data, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect

When you contact us or request a trip

• Your name, email address, and phone or WhatsApp number.
• Details about the trip you have in mind: dates, number of travellers, the kind of trip you want, and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
• The trip or page you were looking at when you sent the request.

When we arrange a trip with you

• Details needed to book your services, such as traveller names as they appear on passports, nationality and passport details where hotels, sites or visa procedures require them, arrival and departure information, and room preferences.
• Dietary, medical or accessibility needs that you choose to share so we can look after you. We use these only to arrange your trip and share them only with the hotel, guide or supplier who needs to know.

We do not take card payments on this website and we do not store payment card details on it.

Collected automatically

• Technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. Our hosting and security providers process this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described below.

How we use your data and why we are allowed to

• To answer your enquiry and plan your trip. We process your details because you asked us to, and to take steps before entering into a contract with you.
• To book and deliver your trip. Hotels, guides, transport and entry tickets cannot be arranged without some of your details. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To look after any health or accessibility needs you tell us about. We rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep records required by law, for example tax, accounting and tourism regulations in Jordan.
• To keep the website working and secure, and to understand in general terms how it is used so we can improve it. This is in our legitimate interest.
• To send you news and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. Every message includes a way to stop them.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed for the purposes above:

• Travel suppliers who deliver your trip, such as hotels, camps, guides, drivers, transport companies and site operators, mostly in Jordan.
• Service providers who work on our behalf under contract and only on our instructions: our customer relationship and enquiry system (WeTravel), our website host (Webflow) and its content delivery network, the server that passes your enquiry from the website to our team, and our email and messaging tools. The enquiry forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending them.
• Authorities, where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

International transfers

Our team is in Jordan, and some of our service providers store data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When your data is transferred outside the country you are in, we rely on safeguards recognised by the applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses, and we share only what the provider needs.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. The site uses cookies and similar storage that are needed for it to work, such as remembering what you entered in a form, protecting forms from spam, and loading the enquiry and booking tools provided by WeTravel. These do not need your consent.

If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and we will update this policy. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work as intended.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a trip: up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back to us.
• Booking and travel records: for as long as Jordanian tax, accounting and tourism rules require.
• Health or accessibility information: deleted once your trip is complete, unless you ask us to keep it for future trips.

How we protect it

Access to your data is limited to the people in our team and at our suppliers who need it. Our systems use encrypted connections, and our providers maintain their own security controls. No system is completely secure, so if we ever discover a breach that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, and, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR or UK GDPR, you can:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
• withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what was done before;
• ask for your data in a portable format, where this applies.

To use any of these rights, email booking.travel@kawar.com. We will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country, or in Jordan.

Children

Our services are arranged with adults. If you are travelling with children, a parent or guardian provides the details we need for them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
